JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind Episode 9 Discussion
Buccellati's gang are at a bathroom stitching up Mista's stomach wound, which Fugo does with a stapler. Buccellati states that they are close to the treasure, but Narancia notices people outside. Investigating, he is met by two janitors. Narancia pulls a knife on one, but she twists his arm and turns the scuffle. It is then revealed that the other janitor is actually a capo of Passione, Mr. Pericolo. He is there to collect the treasure Buccellati hid. Buccellati uses Sticky Fingers to hit a urinal, revealing the treasure hidden within. After checking the treasure, Mr. Pericolo gives Buccellati the title of capo, officially taking Polpo's place. Pericolo reveals that there was a job left unfinished that Polpo was assigned. The job is guarding the daughter of the mysterious boss of Passione. The other janitor is that daughter; her name is Trish. Her mother had died a couple of months ago and she asked a man named Solido Naso to be found. That name is one of many aliases that the boss has. People who now look to get info on the boss through Trish are now after her life, and it is now Buccellati's team who will look after her. Pericolo leaves and the team informs Trish that they are to guard her. Trish asks to get her a magazine, stockings and other things from a store for her. Narancia is the one to go to town to get groceries and other items for the gang. Buccellati tasks him to do it, since his stand is best to assure that no one is tailing him. A man suddenly appears in the back of the vehicle Narancia is driving. He asks where the rest of the gang is, trying to get info out of him. The mysterious man attacks Narancia with his stand, slicing one of his cheeks. Narancia gets pissed and calls out his stand, Aerosmith (which is subbed as Lil Bomber). Narancia's stand shoots up the car that the man is in, and the stand even drops a bomb inside the car. Narancia looks in the car to assure that he is dead, but he is nowhere to be found. He actually used his stand ability, Little Feet, to make himself small and is now hiding in the back pocket of Narancia. He notices the female items that Narancia has purchased, becoming more and more suspicious. He deduces that Buccellati's team is the one that has been tasked to guard the boss's daughter. He also reveals that his stand ability should start working on Narancia any minute now, leaving us with a cliffhanger.
A lot has happened in this episode that are very important. We meet Trish for the first time, if you choose not to count seeing her in the opening. This girl is one of the focal point of part 5. She is the daughter of the boss, a mysterious man who keeps everything about himself hidden. She appears to be kind of privileged and bratty. This is shown when she asks Fugo to take his shirt off just so she can dry her hand on it. She also demands the group to buy her things mere seconds after meeting them, revealing that Passione has taken very good care of her due to the fact that she is the daughter of the boss. We will learn more about her as the series progresses, but this point is where the story really starts to pick up. We also get to see some of what Narancia's stand, Aerosmith, can really do. While not all is revealed about the stand and it's unique powers quite yet, but we do still get to see the fact that this stand has devastating destructive powers, being able to shoot up a car in seconds. We will discuss this stand in more detail in next weeks blog post.
